Canada (CIDA)
The Canadian International Development
Agency (CIDA) and its International Humanitarian Assistance Division,
Peacebuilding Fund, committed funds in January 2003 for the further
development of the EFP curriculum and its activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The grant from CIDA will enable EFP to develop an educational resource
entitled ~Peace Moves" on video and CD-Rom for use in Bosnia and
Herzegovina classrooms. The piece is an interactive story with animated
youth from around the world who discuss and consult about how the creation
of peace is possible. This support from CIDA will help increase opportunities
for both teacher and student training throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina
and will fund a National Peace Event, where students of all ethnic backgrounds
share and celebrate their respective peace-building initiatives.
