The Education for Peace e-Learning site has been developed as an EFP training platform and dialogue network for global participants in the Education for Peace program. Through this site, users from around the world can access the Education for Peace Curriculum free-of-charge. The vision of Education for Peace is to offer its peace education training program at no cost to all communities that are interested in overcoming the effects of conflict and violence and fostering a culture of peace and healing.

The site will also function as a platform for discussion between users in different countries. The EFP Network provides the opportunity to bring students, educators and community members from different countries and cultures together in discussion about principles of Education for Peace, and the creative means that may be used to implement them in diverse contexts and societies.

The EFP Introduction is a Media-based presentation of the Education for Peace Program. It provides a brief introduction into the framework of the Education for Peace curriculum and into its implementation in schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina since year 2000. It also provides pictures, quotes and music and can be used in schools and other occasions when introducing the Education for Peace program to a wider public.

Peace Moves

“Peace Moves – Journey to Unity” is an interactive, Flash-animated movie that assists students in upper primary and secondary school to study the all-important subject of peace.

The story begins when world leaders host an international youth forum on humanity’s potential to establish global peace. Six youth of different cultural, religious, social and economic backgrounds are brought together and presented with the mission to collectively devise and communicate a strategy for peace to the diverse segments of society. Challenged by one another’s worldviews and the prevailing world trends, they undertake a journey of personal and collective transformation as they work together to arrive at a common solution to the challenges of creating a lasting peace.

Used successfully by classrooms in more than 120 schools, the Peace Moves story is one component of the Education for Peace Curriculum and EFP-World e-Learning Series, and has proven itself to be an effective and thought-provoking resource for students, teachers and parents alike. The PEACE MOVES – JOURNEY TO UNITY© Production was made possible through the funding and support of the Canadian International Development Agency.
