Naghmeh Sobhani

Director

Naghmeh SobhaniNaghmeh Sobhani is the Director of the EFP-Balkans office, based in Sarajevo. She directs and monitors all Education for Peace (EFP) programs implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, supervises a staff of Bosnian educators and LIU graduate students located in several regions of the country and oversees the administrative operations of the Institute. Ms. Sobhani provides training support for adults and youth in “Conflict-Free Conflict Resolution”, peace education and curriculum development for application in primary and secondary schools, assists in grant writing and donor pursuits and coordinates organizational development and strategic planning. She is the primary contact for government and media relations for the EFP program in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to her work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Sobhani has field experience in human resource and project management in the USA, Niger, Burkina Faso, Togo, Eritrea and Ethiopia. She has administrative experience in educational institutions including Banani International School in Zambia, the University of Connecticut, USA and Landegg International University, Switzerland. Ms. Sobhani completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut as an Honor’s Scholar in International Development and Political Science and her Masters Degree in Leadership and Management at Landegg International University.
